We are called Better Green for an excellent reason and we have one simple message for our clients.
‘The more we do for you, the more we can do for the planet and those in need.’
We take sustainability, and, local and global, responsibility seriously. We know you will enjoy seeing for yourself, just how much direct support Better Green is able to provide to these projects, all made possible through the contracts awarded by you, our clients.
We have highlighted three clear routes to achieve our company goals and to ensure we are doing everything possible to minimise our negative impact on the planet, whilst positively affecting our local and global community.

We have selected six smaller direct-to-need charities, that we can actively support, five in the UK and one in Kenya.

Sustainability is at the core of Better Green Group. We've joined isla, a non-profit organisation addressing the climate crisis in the event industry. isla unites expertise, offers resources and training, and provides tools, including a carbon calculator, to promote industry-wide standardization and sustainable best practices. Through facilitation, collaboration, education, and reporting, isla aims to share knowledge, enhance industry skills, and monitor progress for rapid and meaningful change in the events sector.
Businesses joining isla must implement concrete, measurable steps to show their dedication to ongoing improvement for a greener future in our ever-changing industry.
-
We've adopted the TRACE platform to enhance our commitment to sustainability in the events industry. TRACE helps measure and minimise carbon emissions in live, hybrid, and digital events, offering valuable insights during planning for more sustainable outcomes. Developed by isla, the industry body promoting a net-zero future for events, TRACE goes beyond measurement, actively supporting carbon footprint reduction by capturing emission and waste data across event formats. Its real-time impact reports empower us to make informed decisions and support clients and stakeholders in achieving greener events.
Investors in Diversity for Small Businesses:
The Better Green Group are delighted to announce that we have achieved the Investors in Diversity accreditation for Small Businesses! This prestigious recognition is a nationally acknowledged quality mark highlighting our commitment to fostering an inclusive culture within our organisation. We uphold the values of #FREDIE (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement) at the core of our organisation.
Deborah Parsons, our Group CEO and Sustainability & Outreach Director, shared her thoughts: "Diversity is a term often used lightly, yet it's true essence is powerful and essential. When companies like Better Green proactively and collectively embed diversity through inherent policy and company culture, it sets a standard that should become universal. We are immensely proud to have earned this esteemed certification, particularly because it reflects the voices of our employees and clients. Achieving this milestone requires time, effort, and resources, but ensuring equality, happiness, and genuine pride in our workplace is vital. This is a commitment we strive to uphold every day."
Living Wage Employer
Better Green is proud to announce that we have been accredited by the Living Wage Foundation, a formal recognition for employers who voluntarily commit to paying a real living wage that reflects the actual cost of living, as independently calculated. This accredited Living Wage applies to all employees aged 18 and over, setting a higher standard than the government-mandated National Living Wage (for those aged 23 and over) and the National Minimum Wage (for younger workers), which only establish legally enforced minimums. This accreditation reinforces our commitment to fair and equitable pay across our organisation.
Process
We have a 6-point internal process for sustainable working practices.
-
Together with our clients, we set goals. We review each new project in terms of its environmental impact and adhere to a strict ethos of sustainable production to help reduce negative impact. To do this we ensure each stage of our production process is scrutinised.
-
Develop designs and production methods that use predominantly natural and sustainable materials efficiently, minimising waste whilst ensuring durability. Design to be re-used/rebranded/stored for future years. Beyond just one activation or season.
-
Ensuring all materials used come from verified sustainable sources that have the correct certification. All timber to be FSC approved and European.
-
All waste materials are to be prepared and separated in accordance with our recycling partners’ guidelines to enable no more than 5% to landfill. Alternatively, materials and products are advertised locally to be recycled or reused throughout local businesses, schools, and community projects.
-
As a company we actively offset our carbon emissions and partner with two companies; Ecologi in the UK and Trees4Trees in Indonesia.
