Better Green has over 25 years of history, founded by Edward and Deborah Parsons.

With humble beginnings, painting small wooden event structures by the light of public car parks, the company has organically and successfully grown into the Better Green Group, the widely regarded company it is today.

Our Early Roots

Better Green’s fledging roots over 25years ago came from a close-knit group of friends who worked during their summer holiday breaks running event bars, building festivals, and marquees. CEO Dee Parsons and MD Ed Parsons.

In 2007 Ed Parsons spent a year working for a pop-up summer / Christmas party venue, here is where Ed cut his teeth and developed his production values and honed his site management skills. This is where he met Dee, and with her creative and commercial mind, they then went on to form a business together and this was the beginning of The Better Green Group.

22 years later, now married with two children, the company has a wider family of over 45+ crew and over 400 projects, some of which are showcased on this site.

Recent History & Company Pillars

The company’s core pillars are:

  • Approachability

  • Dedication

  • Delivery

  • Sustainability

During the challenge of COVID, Better Green was fortunate to have prospered and has since enjoyed a sustained period of growth, achieved through the collective and dedicated efforts of its loyal and passionate team.

During one of the most challenging times in recent history, the team inspired clients to keep pushing forward, providing ideas aligned with their simple but effective message ‘do something, not nothing’. That adopted ethos saw them awarded the most significant experiential contract during that time, ‘Raise the Bar’ for mega-brand Guinness & Verve Agency, a project which has recently celebrated a Drum Award.

Simultaneously, Better Green pivoted into a new commercial design/renovation/build sector for universities. Better Green was awarded an initial fit-out contract for Kings College London. However, due to our event methodology, consistent performance, positive ethos, and reliable delivery, Better Green has been entrusted with ever more significant projects.

Better Green Living, spearheaded by Living’s COO , Tom Dodson, has successfully grown his division. Tom, a long-term friend and project manager for Better Green of over 18 years, is one of the industry’s most prominent authorities on student facilities/building works.

Two years after our first project at KCL, Better Green can proudly say we are a principal supplier for the world-renowned University of Kings College London.

These combined momentous efforts have resulted in 60% growth in the last three years and show no signs of slowing down.

Despite this substantial period of growth, Better Green has maintained its friendly, personal and efficient persona with high client and staff retention. 50% of the team has worked for Better Green for five years or more, and 20% for over ten years.

‘Better Green will inject visionary design, warranted excitement, and simple efficiencies into your next project. Through the process, we guarantee delivery and minimise the impact on the planet, positively affecting surrounding communities. You will quickly see that working with Better Green is unlike any other supplier, it is an uplifting experience; let’s get started.’

- Dee Parsons, CEO
